Cause & Effect

Has anyone ever called you a name, shoved you into a wall, hurt your feelings or worse? How did it make you feel? Have you done it to anyone? How did the person react?

Verbal abuse goes on every second of every day. People verbally abuse people and not notice it. Others verbally abuse people and have a clear understanding of what they’re doing. People who are victims of verbal abuse become mentally depressed. Some deal with it, but other cut themselves; some even kill themselves because they can’t deal with the emotional pain. You have to think to yourself the next time you feel like calling someone a name or making fun of them: do you really want to make a move that will make them want to end their life or worse?

Physical abuse is the same. Only difference is, the person doesn’t have to cut themselves or kill themselves: they have someone doing it for them. They do not live in safe environments and they do not have the same freedom other people do. The people who get physically abused in school from bullies even. They become afraid to go to school, or even to leave their house if they’re not being abused at home. The next time you shove a kid into a wall or try to start a fight with someone, think about it; do you really want to be apart of the chain reaction that will kill them?
